At 8:00 a.m. on January 2, the 2014 Xiamen International Marathon started. Nearly 80,000 runners from home and abroad ran together on the beautiful track of Huandao Road for love and health. Many employees from different departments of ZFYL (XIAMEN) actively participated in the full marathon event (a total of 42.195 kilometers) and achieved excellent results, which was a "good start" at the beginning of the new year.
As the world's first marathon event in the new year, the Xiamen International Marathon is themed "Beautiful Xiamen, Healthy Life" and has six events: full marathon, half marathon, 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, wheelchair marathon and roller skating. Faced with the huge physical and mental challenges brought by 42.195 kilometers, ZFYL (XIAMEN) contestants rose to the challenge and laughed to the end with firm perseverance. Of course, the results of the marathon are not the most important. What is important is the determination and courage of the contestants to challenge themselves.
